    Finished concreting

Well, I finally got the concreting finished on Friday, and by yesterday got the clutter round it cleaned up to get a picture - but then it was nearly dark all day yesterday and foggy until lunchtime today - so here it is.

I will give it until the end of the week to season, and expect to start pulling the engine out of the County then.

And how long do you think it's going to stay nice & clean?
Give JD 6 months & he'll be extending the concrete out in front of that area .

    Or is that just me?

Considering that this job has been in the queue since 1997..............

Maybe six months is a bit of an underestimate. But I must say that there is a strong feeling of "Now I am in the swing of concreting, what else needs doing?"

The only extra is that the side door of the shed got a rather diminutive new step with the left over concrete from the last section of the slab, which was done in twelve sections, approximately ten feet by four feet, starting on the left of the picture nearest the shed. The first one (covered with junk in the picture) got done in 1998, but then there was a long hiatus.

Certainly is. I've got a spare chain block and a trolley somewhere - you've given me an idea - just need to find a suitable beam.
    Cheers .........

I spent years haunting clearing sales before I found that! Can't remember what I paid for the beam (and posts), but it was not all that much, about $100 I think. And lots of fun to get it home on a trailer a lot shorter (10'6")
