    mobile reception

    i live at colo heights and am currently with optus i dont get service at my house but down the road i do, does anyone know any service providers or mobiles that get service anywhere, or just colo heights?

    James, what's your Dad's reception like with 3?

    Maybe you can get a phone hanging off his account. New 3 phones are Telstra Next-G compatible and will roam to Telstra's network.

    Note that Matt's phone won't roam to the Next G network.

    You could send an email to optus and tell them, won't help you in the short term though!
    Also, every service provider will have a coverage map on their website.

    Optus is/was hopeless where I live in western Sydney. I stayed with Optus for a month before dumping them. I was unable to get reception where I live.
