    aqua rover!

just went to pick the missus up, was a bit chilly so put the heating on .......ooops!
reversed up and noticed a flood in my wake, got out with the wind up torch and all became clear !
The heater matrix has given up the ghost, yay! this is good as i have been moody over the fact that i had an ingress of water in the passanger footwell since it has been raining and thought it was the maybe a leaky windscreen seal, i had totally forgotten about the leaky footwell from a knackered heater matrix scenario, better have a shop around tomorrow.

The thing i don't know is this, does the heater matrix get fed off the header tank/block if so do i need to join the heater matrix feed pipe and exit pipes together so as to retain the water, i seem to remember this being the go ?!

yep, find the pipe in and the pipe out then remove them from the engine and joint the 2 engine barbs together.

managed to remove the housing no worries but the matrix looks near new and solid .....the wing was a swimming pool clean water-rain.
The seals around the housing were squished ..can the motor suck up water and bang it straight through the bulkhead?
If so is there a cure ?
can those raised air intake socks stop the rain pouring in or should i buy a winterised air intake for the heater like the British army fit there was a bit of a lake in there but then it has been sitting through all the bad weather as it's been off road
