Well that's really neat, because I have three litres of it in a tin waiting for my ute and I had never seen one painted all over in it. I presumed they only used it for roofs and wheels, but I liked the idea of it all over. Now I have seen it and it looks fantastic.

Much better than Bahama Gold, but don't tell anybody currently building a Series III...

Agree, I like it too! I have only seen it on late S2a ute's.
(Were some Stage 1's painted sandstone or is that a different sandy colour?)

    Hi there

Bit slow of the mark - but our fleet...

The wifes farm hack (Series I 1954 SWB, rear PTO and front Capstan)

Durring the summer months with fire tank....

Series 1 (1958 LWB Ex Woomera Fire Engine - rear AMAG PTO Pumo 300gpm)

Series IIa (1964 LWB Ex Army Fire Tender - centre Coventry Climax 500gpm pump

Picture taken at the Royal Adelaide Show durring an arena event highlighting evolution of Firefighting History

Latest addition - Series II 1961 Ex Snowy Hydro Firefly - originally stationed at Jindabyne

Restoration work has slowed due to work..........but getting there.

There were 4 of these in service with the Snowy Hydro - with only 3 remaining (4th one was wrecked) would be nice to get them all together again at the next Cooma 70th event.

    Enjoy

So Wayne, if there was an unwanted fire at your place (that wasn't threatening your shed of course), which vehicle would you take to extinguish it?

    Hi there

which vehicle would you take to extinguish it?
Thats is a problem - but usually the 54 (very nimble/quick and easy to operate single handed).

The others just pump to much water - they were initally designed for areas with lots of water.

The collection has got a little out of hand but being a firey and a strong supporter of History they have been preserved for future generations (not wrecked like most)

    All the best

See the roof top is painted white? I think the variation looks good. White wheels might look good too.

I agree - Limestone looks gorgeous on LWB models. Don't think it would look right all over a shorty though.

Quite apart from the colour, I still love that ute Slunnie... Lovely and straight.

I noticed that yesterday too. I think the date was the 20th or something. Is it still or it no more. It looks a great little truck.
    Cheers
