Sorry, I'd have to disagree. I've had excellent service and help from Port Lincoln Land Rover and would recommend them to anyone else with a Land Rover.

Well I can only call it as I found it and they were very helpful for me.

I know know why everyone say's its easier to leave WA than drive to it. The strong westerlies played havoc with the fuel economy today. Fortunately Defenders are so aerodynamic that they don't get knocked around to much

Stopping at one lookout I got the door wrenched out my hand as I tried to open it and then had to struggle to close the thing. Still, managed a few more pictures and put the roof rack to use once again as a photographic platform (when it wasn't blowing a gale).

Well the head wind died off just before Belladonia and we have made it to Norseman today. Must say it's better than I expected.

Fuel consumption in the Puma today was I think at one point we averaged about 21L/100km when we are normally getting 14-15L/100km. I was limited to about 80kph for a lot of the day. Chatter on CH40 from the trucks was along the lines of when will it ease off and having to go as low as 50kph.

    Off to Esperance tomorrow.

Did you consider asking to change flight level?

Today, after getting the hose fixed, we got as far as Streaky Bay and called it quits. Let us catch up on washing and all the little things for travelling. As well as dry the canvas off from a very wet pack this morning in the rin at Pt Lincoln.

All going well expect to be in Esperence on Monday night.

Esperence today and high tea with Jamo and family. Thanks for making us welcome

Unfortunately haven't time left to spare sight seeing down here and will head off tomorrow.

Spotted another silver Puma today (standard except for a couple of roof bars) who waved back and a few other Defenders and Counties. Don't know if it was anyone off here though.

Yesterday and today I had tow vehicle envy as I spotted a dirty RRS towing a Kimberley Karavan today. Yesterday's was worse though as it was a nice shiney new RR TDV8, now that would cruise at a nice speed, it was towing a 6m caravan though.
