    yep, they get laid close to the ground you drive up between them and then a couple of blokes with forked poles push them in place up against the tyre as you slooooowly progress forwards, once the front wheels are in the process repeats for the back wheels and then your good to go, the problem comes in getting to the other side.

    as the weight of the vehicle approaches the other side the sag in the line can present such a slope that the steel on steel isnt enough drive to get the front wheels to engage on the ground enough to lift the vehicle up and over.

    The last time I saw it done sucessufully the vehicle was winched over the wires on a capstan.
