In AU we get a certain number of point on our drivers licences.. (12?, 13?) When you do something that plod frowns upon, they take points away. I think you can re gen your license at 1 point a year (or something like that, it is different in each state.)

10km over the speed limit and I think it is 3 points gone.. so if he only had 2 points left and got a speeding fine he would loose his license.

NZ has a demerit point system too. I took it as 'isn't that what a speedo is for'.

I have seen people drive around with similar notes on their dashboard during 'double demerit' periods.

Thinks its fair dink. There are a number of this on you tube. The slow motion one looks the goods. You see the blast leave and hit the hat in time. Be very hard to fake that detail.

Common misconception, you don't lose the points on your license, you accrue demerit points. So when you get 13 it's time for walkies.
