I remember a uni lecturer many moons ago, who proceeded to quizz me rather vigorously why I had written down a wrong answer to one of his questions on an exam, when clearly he had spent many hours and much effort reinforcing the subject in both face time, tutorials and assignments.
Well, I had nothing, except to offer back that at the time of the exam, I thought it was the right answer and that I was not in the habit of getting one wrong just for the hell of it! I think he revised my score upwards marginally after that.
