I used to trail bike ride with a guy with one arm. He had the brake and clutch leaver on the same side. He was really hard to keep up with too. It's amazing what you can achieve if you put your mind to it.

Al is a double amputee (right side) as a result of being taken out by a drunk truck driver 20 years ago whilst he was out riding.
The bike is set up, as you can imagine, so that everything is done on the left side. Throttle, front brake, clutch, gear change lever, rear brake....an incredible man.

I read a story in a mountain biking magazine years ago about a professional mountain bike rider with one arm. They said it made you look twice when he had a stack and one arm was stayed attached to the handle bars.
