And while the Toyota owner lies there reading his New Idea magazine, rust silently eats away at his bedframe
Reminds me of several years ago I left Broken Hill early on a Sunday morning, heading for Port Augusta - not another car in sight. Came to the SA border, and there was a SA police officer just like in this picture, running breath tests.
I spent fifteen minutes talking to him - during which time there were no other cars. I asked him why he was there, and he told me that there a B&S ball in Broken Hill the previous night, and he was waiting for the drunken revellers heading for home!

Found these in our local shopping centre, which, incidently, is in the middle of a .... working class/older retiree area of Perth.
Is this ...abomination... a Disco that's been shrunk, or some new model. Its got the LR badge on the grille, and the interior looks vaguely related to the Freelander next to it, But..
Oh, and despite being shorter and slightly smaller, its got the bigger 20" rims to the Fraudlander's 18" - 'Compensating' perhaps ?...
Please tell me this an Ewok - species of "Discovery"- The number plate puts it at a few thousand AFTER the Freelander.
Apologies that the pics are very average, from an old flip-Fone.
All is revealed....
Went back down there with a real camera...and the story is:-
There was this D4, next-door's Wife drives the Freelander. It seems that one night the two cars became little... frisky and thus the 'mini' Disco was born.
Alas, Father D4 was so unimpressed with the runt, that he's deserted them, and now the Freelander is a 'single parent'.
Mother was out shopping, and Junior just tagged along.
Well, I used to work in the Newspapers,,, and this sounds like a good story...![]()
You mean a Disco that's been washed in HOT water ? Looks more like a tarted-up Freelander... I'm not surprised that Daddy D4 ran away in shame.
Here's a pic of 'Aunty' Sarah, having a womanly word to the girl-child, about the advantages of 'sensible' (not skinny) shoes...![]()
