Trouble is there's more of them here than there:o:twisted:

G'day Ivan :)
It would definately be worthwhile to bring both of your 90's over to Australia, as they were only sold here for about 23 months a couple of years ago, they are a VERY desireable vehicle in this country :) as to your moving to Queensland, what line of work are you wishing to follow?? and do you wish to settle in S.E. Qld (that is within 60 miles of greater Brisbane?) city, semi rural, coastal, as it will all have a bearing on what area to look into, it might be worth you while to get a detailed map of SE Qld and make an area to investagate, somebody from here could possibly mail a SE Qld map over to you ;) then with a chosen area, the rental rates and availability can be followed up.
BRING YOUR 90'S WITH YOU :D
cheers
Good move Ivan, I've been here 4 years now and don't miss the uk at all, only friends and family :D It's a great place to be, especially for kids to grow up.
There is definately a shortage of landrover 90's, so if it's in good condition bring it out.
Have a look at www.koalaconnection.com.au + Holiday Homes Australia - Aussie Holiday Homes a friend of mine also runs pomsdownunder.com - The migrants guide to emigrating to and settling in Australia he'll answer any queries you may have, a very helpful chap ;)
On another note, would you have room to squeeze one of those "landrover dormobile elevating roofs" into one of your containers ??? :)
In reply to the above, I am an Oracle DBA/Developer so I suspect most work will be based in the CBD. I would be happy to live anywhere that is in commuting distance. At the moment I travel 1.5 hours to work (50 miles), so anything less is going to be a bonus.
I spoke to the wife last night and mentioned the comments on here. She has agreed with that we will bring both 90's over. My 90 (1987) needs painting and a bit of work to make it look better but, it will give me something to do and keep me out of trouble.
I am a southerner myself and am moving back to Australia;) upon retirement (soon). It has been a good place to live, but we are looking for a lifestyle (weather) change for our later years.
Good luck with the move and a SE Qld AULRO get together will be on the cards after you arrive.
Hang on we only know one part of the story here! If you can get good money for the 90's in the UK then I would consider leaving them there, and particularly the older one. If you could say get the equivalent of $10k Aus over there... you'd have to think about it. Landed it would owe you $15k which gets a fair bit of LR here.
