worst ones cost about 150 bucks, others are free...
Considering the ATO's Etax still doesn't support mac users, the only way I can do my tax electronically is to go and buy a windows based laptop
Is this wrong? Are there other options?
Considering this is the only use for a windows based device in my household why can't I claim it as costs associated with compiling my tax return?

It may not do any good, but I signed the petition mentioned on that thread and lodged a complaint with the ATO.
They are obliged to respond to complaints. I got a phone call the next day from a very charming young lady who said they had been receiving a lot of similar complaints.
If enough of us complain, it may end up being easier for the ATO to fix the problem rather than have to respond to all our complaints.![]()
