I dont think i would bother with dislocation cones when its only dropping out that far, unless theres more travel in the shock to go? otherwise just retain it top and bottom, you will pull the spring out that length no problems, just remember to upgrade the spring retainers though - even if you decide to go dislocation cones.

    Hi Cal
The shock was at full drop so thats as much as we were getting out of them, but they arn't the ones which will be going on, got some even longer procomps coming soon
Will just have to see how they go, also planning on getting new coils those are kings which are meant to be 2'' but they arn't + they have sagged heaps!!
So with longer coils it might be abit different

If you mean the anti-sway/roll bar it has already been taken out
With bilsteins on, the county is rock solid on the road, but the long travels are abit rolly quite fine though

Legenday cars. I've had several 504s, a 205, a 305, a couple of 505s, and in fact built a ground-up 505 V6 project (never sold here but I obtained a V6 block new and employed new and used parts to build a whole engine). A 505 with real torque and power is paradise.

The current drive is a 306 Gti6, as in: YouTube - Top Gear 306 Gti6

Sorry about the hijack, but there's a lesson it in - don't let Pugs sneak into your Landy photos.

Took the sway bar off my disco and it didn't make too much off a difference. Considering the early discos never had them

Want long travel cheap.... Have a look at 4" lift EFS patrol shocks, You have to make a pin eye adapters, Move the top mounts up and forward then make some dislocation cones out of some flat bar. All can be done at home if you have a welder, grinder, drill and vice.
Dont forget the flexible brake pipe

Trust me they work very well

Mmmmm interesting, so your talking 4'' patrol EFS shocks with moded and raised mounts? I've heard good things about EFS might be a good option to put in the front as we have already got our hands on a rear pair of long procomps
We will have to raise the mounts i think, i had a look at the mounts at the moment, they are about an inch away from hitting the floor/body if raised, but if we raise them forward and up this will allow another inch or to to extend them is this fine to do? (i see you mensioned something similar in your above post)

    Thanks in advance...TIM.
