G'day All,

I will probably be flying to Qld early next week to pick up an Ebay purchase. VQ Statesman.

I am hoping to drive it back to Vic on a permit, providing it looks like it will make it.

If I have to do any repairs, does anyone have any spare space I could utilise? It needs an ignition module (easy) and possibly an auto trans sump gasket replacement (easy with axle stands and drain container).

I am trying to minimise my expediture so I want to avoid paying for motels, etc if possible.

Looks like a thinly veiled, "can I stay at your place" kind of statement.

You are welcome at my place if you get no offers - although it's in Ipswich, not the Gold Coast. As for the other automotive requirements - I have an extension cord, that's about it.

I shouldn't have to stay if everything works out OK.

I still haven't got full VIN from seller yet. I am not booking anything until I do a REVS check. I don't want to buy a stolen or encumbered car!

I appreciate the offer but I think your place is in the wrong direction.
If / when I come up I want to head straight down the coast through Coffs Harbour on the way home.

Yeah - it's the wrong direction - about 1 hour from the coast. But if you need a bed and a feed, just let me know.
