Pay for a blue slip,$58 and get them to change the GVM to 3450kg and you will get the rebate. Pat
Has anyone done the conversion and been successful at getting the taxpayer rebate. The requirement (apparently) is the vehicle must be below 3.5 tonnes GVM. On my rego papers the Aggregate (W.A.) is 3500 kg which is the GVM and I have been knocked back.

The govt. changed the rule. It use to apply up to 3500kg. Now it's less than 3500kg. 3499kg is OK.
I got the rebate for the LPG install on my RR.

is it hard in VIC to get my GVM lowered by a few kg's?
any tips?
thanks
also I'm not finding enough comparison info of the different available systems to install ...
I never thought about the GVM but now that you mentioned it of course.
Try and get it changed I guess is only option.
I had my 300tdi(Disco 97) done by Bee Utey on here and I hate it when I run out. I have a 19L usable and get around 4-500K's with that and boy does it make a difference.
Under the hood I have a valve and i can change the flow, I have it on about half and if I tow heavy load I Crank it up a bit.
I also had a EGT gauge installed at same time and have never exceeded 720 degree C. It has come close though not because of Gas system but it just pulls so much better now and wants to go.
Good luck.
