DX ROVERDRIVES for DEFENDERS
Just in time for summer driving Model DX 'ROVERDRIVE' overdrives are back in production for immediate delivery to North American customers. These superior overdrives for 90, 110 and Defender vehicles are made in Canada and feature a strong, quiet running epicyclical gear train. The units share oil with the transfer case and have no dynamic seals or vents to cause leaks. The new models have a shorter quicker shift pattern than before and have stainless steel lever components that enter the cab thru the main gear change boot. When engaged the ROVERDRIVE reduces engine RPM by 28%in any gear. In fifth gear you lope along highways reducing fuel consumption and making the vehicle quieter and more fun to drive. On highways the normal practice is to leave the ROVERDRIVE engaged and shift up and down using the main gearbox as traffic and terrain dictate. In low range the overdrive makes it possible to gain higher speeds without changing range. This rugged overdrive has been proven in thousands of miles of expedition driving. It has no complicated electronic components. It shares oil with the transfer case and has no reservoir and no dynamic seals or breathers to leak. Engagement is by syncromesh 'dog' clutch there are no friction cones to slip. Reversing with the unit engaged cannot cause damage. DX ROVERDRIVES currently available are for use on suffix C or later model 230 transfer cases. Delivery by mail to lower 48 states and Canada is US$50.00 Call 604 925 1260 to order.
