Why not replace the seals?

Could cost as much as the tractor is worth
as there is nothing else wrong with the pump.

We've had low sulphur fuel for quite a few years now, so I doubt you could blame that.

it has been leaking for a while just this time i've left it too
long between starts (stuffed battery).
But i want to stop the leak.

Again, I think seal replacement is the only way. No additive is likely to be able to repair knackered seals; sorry.
