It's not just 4WD's, if you own a car/bike the government is hitting you up.
Lot of multiple car owners out there, I know it will never happen but we should be able to purchase a transferable rego plate where we nominate two or three cars on the one rego plate. After all you can only drive one car at a time.
I'm sure the fine for driving unregistered would be less, maybe we should not pay and just chance it

In SA, the TD5 Disco costs $735 per year...

AND they just increased boat regos as well, but that one sneaked under the media radar...

Qld Rego is absolutely OUTRAGEOUS now but being the sheeple we are, we'll just bend over and lube up I imagine.

The original rationale for higehr rego for V8s compared to 4s etcwas thefuel subsidy - those taking "mist advantage of it" (those with higher fuel consuming cars) paid a bit more in their rego to offset it.

Now that the subsidy is gone this rationale seems to have been ignored - should all go back to teh same price as 4 cyclinder ! Of course it won;t - they just add the word "green" to the word "subsidy" and it's lube up time again !
