Best place for a Hilift is in the toolshed. I reckon 95% of them, never ever end up being used 'in anger' on an outing.
They can get 'gunked up' and stuffed up when left on the outside of a vehicle.

My ARB bar was the same as that with another tube between the posts, 50-75mm above the base. I raised the top bar, between the posts, by 50mm to facilitate the fitting of driving lights; bonus was the bar is now visible from the driving position.

Yes it might be a bit of an issue as a daily driver. Wouldnt it block the lights as I have only 2 candle watt lights on the disco? I live in the hills and KangaBOO's are nuts up here:rocket: so blocking the light may have some issues.
Do you still have the rolling disco shell? I was sending you a PM when I saw this but as usual I was :zzz: distracted by something.

I emailed Hobzee and they replied saying it doesn't suit LR stud patterns even though all the ads by others say it did.

I was talking to Alan at Piranha off road and he told me he does have them but doesnt recommend them due to door damage. Very grateful and as I have jumper leads from them I can only say that they are awesome, they are very knowledgeable of what they sell and advise they give even at their expense. No mention of stud pattern but I happy to help you for a fit if your in doubt as I go close by every couple of weeks. Give him a call in Bayswater Vic.

The best thing to free up a high lift jack in preparation for a recovery, is to not use grease or any sort of oil in the first place, lube with water only when needed.
