would hav to be a 80 series land cruiser of course............................:p :wasntme:
200tdi ,300tdi, isuzu and stage3 v8
200tdi=simplicity and rugedness
300tdi=performance and comfort (probably because its a bit newer)
isuzu=away from its numerous bad points the sound and reliability
stage3=pop used to love it (good old bumppy)

The LS1 powered county of course!
-
4BD1 county/110" and 120" by far in standard form. Next for me are classic the Rangies as more comfort but not as durable in standard form.
-
I was going to say mine. But after trying to stuff nothing into the 110 this week and not being able to, I'm saying Mulgo's is best.
-
I would have to say Series II/IIA (but perhaps I am a little biased...), but once the family starts expanding I will be looking for an Isuzu 110 to replace Gus. (assuming I ever get Gus on the road that is! :o)
-
The very first one you drive or ride in has to be the best.
So Series 2a 1971 station wagon with almost flat springs, a safari roof, mustard yellow, dog in the front middle seat.
-
I guess that those of us fortunate to have more than one type of LR just cannot decide ...? (and do not have to)
-
I would have to nominate the Isuzu engined 110s, followed by the Late Series 2a four cylinder petrol. Strangely enough, I own both ........
But both represent the pinacle of a line of development before they started to go bad, the 2a followed by the S3 with poor quality materials and plastic dash, and the 110 by the Defender with smaller, less durable engines, albeit more powerful, less durable CV joints, loss of galvanised capping etc.

Make this thread a Poll as it would be easier to keep track of.
Im a Disco owner and would live to say a Discovery but I would have to say an Ex Army Defender.

does anyone know how to make it a poll, new to me?????
