Anyone out there tried the Southdown snorkel?

I've been trawling the web looking for a snorkel for the D1, I like the pipe style but have no facilities or the ability to make my own.

    Then I came across this,

Southdown 4 x 4 Raised Air intakes, Snorkels

I like the look and the design is simple enough, I reckon even I could fit it....

Does anyone out there have one or have you seen one fitted?

Your confidence in me is inspiring, I once tried to make a shelf, never again.

If you want something grown, I'm your man, but when it comes to measuring and cutting it is usually cheeper for me to pay someone to do it than it is to pay for them to fix my mistake.

I had this on on my D1 first, that went to a new home so I sold it to a friend with a TD5, we customised it black, and fitted it today

We think it looks pretty good!!!

Wow, that looks great. That was exactly what I was going to do.

Do you have any photos of the engine bay?

Could you PM me the external diamiter, distance to bend and over all length of the pipe?

I'm finding Southdown a pain in the bum to deal with, they never answer the phone and take so long to reply to emails it untrue. Which I find a bit odd as I'd like to give them some of my money.
