    Made it to Marlborough... so far so good

    Well after months of preparation we set off from Brisbane this morning in the Bash Car.

    Beautiful day for driving and we ran incident free all the way to our planned overnight stop in Marlborough.

    Tomorrow is on to Townsville with some time in Mackay in the morning.

    I have been waving to Land Rovers along the way, so if you see a Bash Car - wave back.

    And one question looms - on the wall in the Marlborough Hotel where we had dinner, guests can sign their names on the wall. In the top corner it says "Pedro 09" so is it or isn't it THE Pedro ???

    i saw a bash car on the freeway today driving back from our weekend away, it was on the dual lane part however i cannot remember exactly where......you might have seen three defender following each other

    also seen two bash cars heading north on a train

    have a good bash

    Thanks Ralph

    We stayed at the Motel and Van Park and made a pretty hasty departure this morning after brekky at the Caltex truck stop.

    The trip through to Townsville was uneventful and we got here at about 5pm.

    All in all a great trip up and a much easier drive than I was anticipating.

    Would not happen to be a rather tidy S111 GS landy would it..? I saw a rather nice one that I have not seen around town before, just up the road at the Auto Electrical place yesterday
