    So what is the secret? Is it a psychological ploy, a form of method acting or something else? Do advertising companies intentionally look for these folk?

    My wife informs me that she saw an interview with a hollywood actor who was instructed not to blink during a shoot because it is a sign of weakness. You will see very little blinking by action heroes apparently. Betcha John Wayne never blinked his whole life!

    Note that when you are trying to intimidate someone by staring them down you try not to blink, first one to blink loses.

    If they blink fast would it give a strobe effect therefore you do not see the blink? I think I have just invented something, I shall call it. The rhythm method?

    As long as it's faster than fifty times a second, or so a film textbook told me this morning.
