No Lou,my trousers had special hessian backed turn ups because the heat from the exhaust would make the clips red hot and cause irepaireable damage to my school trousers, and having to stand being in the chior at assembly whilst singing the school anthem(get off your arses and work)everyone would have seen scorch marks and could have got the wrong idea.

At the risk of being on topic :P

    Welcome to the TRF

The Trail Riders Fellowship. Is this what you mean?

Sadly the amount of off roading on what the UK calls green lanes was reduced significantly about a year ago when NERC act came into force and made any roads of possible bike and 4x4 access but unconfirmed footpaths in one fell swoop. Removed a LOT of nice lanes I used to drive

If you didn't care and were so inclined, I'd suggest use some pre-NERC maps and remove your plates/modify them while riding the old lanes and sod the walkers.

sorry i had to laugh as you can get from top to bottom in around 13hours
That's only because we have proper speed limits
    64kmph on main roads
96kmph on back roads (1 lane each way, not much wider than that or single track)
    112kmph on motorways.

Realistically, motorways and country roads are both 112kmph minimum, and motorways are usually 140kmph without getting a ticket or pulled

oh and the road workers there manage to have traffic go past at 60kmph as they work without dying of fright

having said all that, it's a s*** hole on the whole and I much prefer it here
