    Look what I acquired?

    My third ever LR!

    106000 KM
    Genuine one owner with logbook and purchaser details
    Straight body, minimal rust
    Safety cert and 6 mnth rego

    I was after a ute to cart reno stuff when out of the blue, my father has this delivered by car carrier!

    Chuffed or what!
    I don't intend to restore at this stage just use as a ute for my reno stores.

    Pleased as punch!

    Super! It's great to have an old thing that you don't need to worry about when you are doing lots of dirty work (as reno's are). It doesn't matter if you're dirty or wet or covered in paint or dust, especially if you'll restore it later.

    I used my S3 for exactly that when we moved and it was just the thing.

    Very nice acquisition.

    Although you will have to re-do the seal on the RHS rear hub!

    Yes!
    Funny thing, the hub was covered in caked on goop (15-30 years of oil and dirt). I started steam cleaning the underside Wed night and discovered drips where there were none! The hub cap has a small hole and lo and behold oil now leaks out!

    Gunna do all hub seals and the CV with grease.

    One of the important phases of renovations is getting rid of the detritus. So I'll do you a favour, when you're finished the renovations, put it back on the car carrier and send it my way

    That is a nice find. Is it a six? Hasn't had a hard life either by the looks of it. You may as wel renovate it when you finish working it senseless.

    Look after it..... Not to many left that good in original form.

    You'll be lucky if you find a CV in there! The Series III 2.3 litre had spicer joints in the halfshafts, but we did understand what you meant.

    I'm one for leaving the oil lubrication and doing the seals properly but it is, as always, a matter of personal preference.
