    Created a monster

    Hi,
I have just bought my first Defender. My partner and I told our children (6 in number) about the defender wave. Had to explain to them that normally defender owners will wave to each other as they go by. Well we got our first one yesterday and boy hasnt that created 6 monsters. Every car truck bus anything is now getting the defender wave. As well as the shouting to go with it. Lucky the defender has lots of room.

    Mark..

My dad and I used to flip quickly through the pages of a 4wd trading magazine trying to recognize the different makes as quickly as possible. Got so quick we could spot if a page had a land rover on it in less than s second even almon the black and white ads.

reminds me of our first wave. We were sitting at the lights when a defender going the other way started waving madly out the window at us. Made the beast an instant part of the family.

If you wave good on you but 95% of the time it's not reciprocated

So when are you getting a 110 Stevo?

I remember my first, we were both very nervous and inexperienced and it was all over so quickly, but I was ecstatic that it had happened. I felt kind of dirty afterwards, I never saw the other person again.

I always wondered if I had waved too soon

yeah, not many disco owners seem to know about the landy wave. Went to coffs for a few days earlier this week and all the way there and back i waved at every land rover, i think one disco returned the wave. I wont even mention the Range Rover drivers
