Sad end to a baby Humpback
Last year while we were on Fraser Island we came across a dead baby Humpback at Waddy Point gutter. i spoke to the blokes on the rocks and they said a pack of Tiger sharks separated the calf from its mom and started feeding on it. The whale was washed into the gutter and onto the sand bank. We saw them circling for ages there was 4 large fish just waiting for the gutter to fill, so they could have another go at it. As you can see its a pretty sad end to the whale but thats nature at work. The main pod hung around just past the rocks for the whole day.

ahhh well, that's life on the farm, as they say.
Things like that are a bit sad but as you said, nature at work. It would be a sad end to the sharks if they all died of starvation...
