I saw a 130 single cab advertised in Perth the other day for around $13000,still was wearing all its Bushfire Brigade stripes, all the pumping gear and tank were still there,a good buy I would have thought.

None round here that I know of - nothing that small; smallest is a Canter.

Privately owned ones that I know of include a Blitz and a Bedford.

I saw a 110 Puma Defender in Katoomba (Blue Mountains west of Sydney) dressed in Rural Fire Brigade livery a few months ago.

The introduction of the new Defender variants might result in a few more being used for this purpose.

One of the problem with Defender 130 rapid response fire trucks is that they were too heavy, so they were only legal with either the crew or the water but not both. The result is that the RFS is disposing of most of them.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

CFA Halls Gap ( Grampians ) had a Defender rapid response unit - not sure if they still do.

We haven't got a land-rover pumper, but our shed at Portland has a Series 2 support vehicle,

They bought a heap in WA a few years back. Overall they were a dismal failure for the test phase. The biggest issues were parts availability and reliability, plus most of the volunteers did not like them.
AFAIK FESA is retiring them all.

We've got 4x 130's single cabs as Striker units + 1x 130 dual cab that is utilised by RAFT. They're by far the best units for the rugged gorge country here, although I may be a tad biased
