it isnt too hard to find second hand evaporative setups......
We have had Shed oil heaters. Now summer is close we have a new problem
Looking at some ideas of making a water cooler for my shed. This varies from a sprinkler on the roof and fans to a full on evaporative cooler using a small pump, spray jets and a potato bag in a ducting.
Long as its mostly made of scrap or recycled materials is my main priority.
it isnt too hard to find second hand evaporative setups......
The local Rural Supplies outlet sells large fans, about 3 foot in diameter, with misters fitted. The one they use works quite well.
Perhaps a couple of old ceiling fans set up the same way above your main work areas would work???

I hate 'swampies' they just dont work well when its humid.
I've got a 8Kw Split system sitting here for mine, and I'm lining & insulating the entire shed before summer hits.
Perhaps some insulation lining inside the Corrugated roof , I can't remember seeing any and a big Fan with Mist is a good idea.
I had three small full circle sprinklers and heat sensors under the corrugated roof that turned the water control solenoid on. Worked wellbut with the emphasis on saving water I painted the roof with Astec heat reflecting paint which is great but now I don't get some warmth from the roof in winter.

down in the old shed at the marked garden we would latch onto any polystyrene fruit or vege boxes we could lay our hands on and attach to the inside of the roof , worked a treat![]()
with the people knocking the swampies, i agree, i loathe the damn things with a passion, spent enough time on peoples roofs servicing/repairing them......
BUT
i've found air movement is more important than the water, in my place, i only have a couple of windows 1/2 open, water turned off and the fan speed only gets turned off minimum once or twice a year
