If you're using windows....
google search "image resizer powertoy" ... (for your operating system)
download and install.
It adds an right click option "resize picture"
Highlight all the pics you wish to resize, right click and select "resize picture".
Select one of four std. sizes or enter a custom size.
click Ok ... and off it goes, done in no time.
Adds a size suffix to the original file name
Couple of extra options:
allow resizing original pics (or copies), so file names don't change.
and make pics smaller but not larger
I use it all the time.

Here is a link to the Powertoys resizer that Schmez posted.
Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP
Its great but only XP, not Vista operating systems. Just install it, then once its installed you find the photo you want to resize, right click on the photo and there will now be a resize image option in the menu that comes up when you right click, just click then select the size you want and its done. You can do 1 or a 100 photos at once. Its good because it also creates new files so if you have some high res images that you want to keep but want to make them smaller so you can post them on the forum etc then it creates new smaller pics. matt

Lots of graphics tools around as mentioned for resizing.
But a super fast easy method I often use if all I want to do is re-size for web use, (particularly if I have a number of images).
Select all the images > right click> send to Mail Recipient > Outlook opens and offers to re-size for me... then I just copy the images back off the draft email.
Super easy if you happen to be running Outlook on a windows box.
If I want to do more than just a quick re-size I generally use Photoshop.
