ok so here are the clues
its in nsw
the train is pretty much next to an information centre
im pretty sure its green
and now it is probably covered in bird poo
a few years ago it got a shelter
its in a town that has more then 30,000 people
hurry up and get it someone so that i can move onto the next one and the theme is landmarks

Funnily enough, I know where it is. It might even be in this post in a way.

Is that giving everyone a too big a hint?

how do you know it is THE train to nowhere and not just A train to nowhere because there are lots of those static train displays around the country

your write well going by my clues it can be only one train.it is one of the most known train display

Well then you would have to be at the rail transport museum at Thirlmere.
