2009 Aulro Dip **** Award - Nominate here
Here I sit at 1 in the morning, with a bruised ego.
Went out for a night trip with a mate to find some new tracks around the joint. Good fun but nothing to really have a play on. So on the way back home there is a place that we usually go have some fun and get the cars dirty. Went up a little steep hill and didn't make it and slid back down. Seams strange that was a sudden stop. Tried forward, no go, Tried backwards, no go. Oh oh. Tried forwards moving the steering wheel, no go. Then it went backwards. Long story short, my new exhaust "hung" down lower than i would have liked and was now pointing forward under the back axle, melting my back tyre.
Bent it like it was tin foil. My mates house was just round the corner, so I drove there with the worlds quietest exhaust and cut it off

The picture is what I had to cut off and has 2 90 degree bends in it, one on the right, and the other in the middle. The mark is part of the back tyre.
On the bright side I've learnt a couple of things:
1-Carry a hacksaw in my toolbox
2-A Decent reversing light is worth its weight in gold
3-Mild steel exhaust = Excellent ground anchor
So I nominate myself because I reversed over my own exhaust.
Anyone else worth competing for the 2009 AULRO Dip ****
award nominate here. The winners trophy is 2 foot of bent exhaust, if of course they want it.
I'm going to bed...
