mmm...I own a medium sized business, and am very much thinking of pulling back to a small business.. I made more money, employed less people, had an awfull lot less stress and more free time...which is pretty much the point innit???.
and anyway, if the Dealer charged out $110 per hour and the tech 'only' gets $27.50 and is grumbling about it...leave and start up on their own...just like the dealer once did.
It is the same in every business. The usual chargeout rate is at least 3x salary/wage. I was talking to a (junior) engineering consultant the other day who is charged out at 6.5x salary.Quote:

In fact the decision to do what i did was one of the hardest decisions i have ever made,& i have been in this industry,A/c & refrig. for over 30 yrs.
