the waeco i just bought plugs direct to mains or 12v, no transformer. :p

It was the older models that required a transformer.

I'm an engle man myself but if I was to buy something other than an engle I would probably get an ARB fridge.

Have checked them out and was very impressed with them.

been running mine every day for about 5 years, never missed a beat, only trouble i've ever had was when someone switched it to emergency mode and froze my beer:mad:. For me the emergency thing is good, if i'm camping and its hot, atleast i know i can keep my insulin refridgerated.
