How can you tell? After all it has a Danfoss compressor like every other compressor fridge that isn't an Engel.

Yes it uses Danfoss Compressor and control gear, it is manufactured on their behalf by the Dometic Group (Probably the largest supplier of vehcile/RV/marine etc refrigeration in the world, they are also the parent company of Waeco)
Obviously setting up a production line to produce their fridge would be cost prohibitive.
Someone told me that on 240v these camping fridges (let's not be brand specific) when they are running draw about the same as 45w globe.
I know I can find the actual draw in the specs but I don't really get a grasp on it by looking at the figures. When I see the star stickers on bar fridges in the shops it shows them to be very inefficient. How expensive are these fridges to run on 240v as a second fridge?
OK... So we've now done the Waeco vs Engel discussion again! While here, we might as well sort out:
- Discovery vs Defender - Which one is better?
- Warn vs Superwinch
Once we've done that, World Peace will seam like a stroll in the park
:wasntme:

We could always discuss how to get the English economy back up off of its knees or is it off its belly?
Now that would make world peace look easy at the moment.
;)
Cheers,
