Our Staffy Cassie
Previous Staffy Coco, had her 17 odd years and was like one of the kids
Jedda, I was supposed to have her when I was 17, but Mum & Dad fell in love with her and they had her about 15 years.

You buggers, all this talk
Now I want my own dog
Never had a Staffy, my first was a Labrador x German Short Haired Pointer, my brother got his sister. They ran away hunting and never came back
Next was a family dog, little Jack Russell by the name of Maggiemany great memories with her. My brother ran her over by accident, he must have felt bad. Poor bugger
Then I had my own. Baz was his name. Awesome dog, very intelligent and very fit. I had a disagreement with my old man and long story short he gave Baz away on meI agreed because I was living with mum at the time and never had a chance to see him
Now, in town we have my brothers dog a Jack Russell (Maggies daughter) and Brook a German Sheppard x Kelpie x everything. She was originally supposed to be mine but took to mum instead
Not a Staffy but I thought you might still like a pic of Basil Dog
(They sure are mans best friend, I wish I still had Baz more than my ex - just quietly)

Scott
These stories, especially the original post reminded me of a staffy cross I had once (Tina, or miss T as some called her).
A friend and I had just started boiling up some pork brawn and we had left the ears and snout and a few other trimmings on the balcony. I went to get these trimmings and noted a few bits missing and a rather content miss T, ah well, she can have the chewy bits I thought and thought nothing more of it.
Anyhow, a week and a half later, a very lethargic grumpy miss T with no appetite emerged from her sleeping bag and I got worried. I was due to fly back into the bush with her that week so thought I had better get her checked over just in case.
The vet said she had to undergo surgery pretty much as soon as they could prep her and an hour later he emerged with a large animal eartag... It had 13 on it and he said this was blocking the bowel... I simply couldn't figure it out until I remembered the missing bits from the brawn brew... included a pair of ears. I laughed for two reasons that morning, one to see miss T back on the front seat sitting up with a sparkle, and two, the tag that had taken pride of place on my key ring for years afterwards and I never made brawn again...![]()
