Please don't put words into my mouth, The toilet/shower facility's were poor, ( but clean ish ) if anyone thinks they were up to a reasonable standard then that would reflect on the kind of person they are, but we all like different thing and we live and learn, and as this was my first camping trip away, and the wife's too, it was a interesting experience, and iam glad to say the other sites we stayed in both coming down and up were of a very high standard, and cheaper than castle hill. To be honest i would have paid what ever for a decent place regardless of it being castle hill, then thats just us.

As for LR Australia, just my thoughts really, if you think they put on a fantastic show then fine who cares, ( just think they could have put on a tad more )

Whinging Yorkshire man, too bloody right, at least we speak our minds......

And for the record i really liked the event, I would not go to the effort of taking 5 days off work, servicing the 130, purchasing a owning, getting the tent, if it was something i would not enjoy....

well perhaps then we should do this next year and charge you even more for camping to cover the cost.......would be a hugh cost between 6/9 campers

"For such an event" you seem to not like a lot about it

if I didn't know you I would almost say you sound like a whinging yorkshireman

Oh and you have quote me with someone elses quote...I would appreciate it if you would edit that, I don't want the organisers of that great event to think I was moaning about there voluntary efforts [/QUOTE]

I'd be interested in the places you stayed at coming down and back if they were cheaper and had better facilities than the showground, not many camping grounds cheaper than $20 a night (if any) for a powered site, or even an non powered site

I think the site on the way down was $20 the hohar's found it.

Stoney Park Watersports and Recreation Holiday Park

And the site on the way back up was $20 too, swiming pool. showers, kitchen area, nice pub next door, very nice site .

Flynns Beach Caravan Park - Budget Accommodation in Port Macquarie, Australia

    Hope thats helpful....

Where would your suggestion be for a LR/RR Club show in Sydney? Particularly one with camping available!

I have no fault to find with the site, very suitable, and, coming from the west very accessible. It would have been nicer without the wind, but you can't control the weather.

I am not familiar enough with Sydney to suggest a better location, although perhaps there may be one further out (for example is ther anything in the Warragamba area?)- but then you have problems with people coming from the eastern party of Sydney.
