Thread: ADF Airshow Townsville 26 Sept

Went up to Townsville yesterday to see the airshow. They had aerial displays ranging from P40 Mustang right through to the yank Thunderbird F16's aerobatic team, FA18's. C47 Dakota, our own Roulettes, C17, F111, DH Caribou, C130I Hercules, Boeing Chinooks, Bell Iroqois (Hueys) and the new MHR9 (I think its called) chopper. I took a lot of photos but can only include a few here so will try to get the best ones. It was a truly memorable day and a credit to the crews and those who organised it. Never again will all these aircraft be seen together again with the imminent departure of the "pig" and the age of some of these aircraft. I got there a bit late to get one of the Mustang and Roulletes but some of the others made up for it. The dump and burn from the 2 F111's was spectacular in the dark..............Brian
