I get waves all the time,.. County/Fender foke are pretty tight in Newcastle, Rangie people snob us a bit, some wave but mostly you see a 100k@100k blur. That being said, I get waves from people on the side of the road… I think with the roof off they think I’m the start of a parade…. Maybe I should throw minties at them?

Annette told me I might as well stop waving, coz "they" never wave back.
I told her that I only do it for me anyway and I don't care if "they" wave back.
Secretly though, I think "they're" just so shocked to get a wave from a Discovery driver.

Yep,
Having met both Schmezz and Chops while recently in Vic..... I can confirm... waving Disco drivers are a little crazy..... It's good to be crazy.
Seems to make you happy.
Perhaps I'll change my name to "Jay The faithful"

Seen 14 Defenders today on the trip back, only 5 did the wave, 4 were Army, who looked alittle gone out...
some times green fleet aren’t suppose to wave,.. or,.. Make riffle shapes with your hands, and have a mock skirmish battles with busses of school kids.. Particularly certain Sydney schools…some times you can give the love and wave but
alot of people just wave cause it is Army.. wave,.. Girls take tops off,. blinker thankyou as people pass convoys, all kinds of things..
After driving a Landy (D1) for a few weeks now, been waving at anyone that looks like they take the thing off road (no soccer mums taxis). Yet to get a wave back form a landy driver I didnt know already.
Heres an idea, maybe us forum members need some sort of sticker to whack on the passengers upper windscreen to identify "wave to" cars, something destinctive.
Any Ideas?
