    Barack Obama Nobel Peace Prize

For like totally asking for a better world?

My two cents - this is 100% total crap.

Love to know what everyone else thinks though...

I'm an Obama fan, but this award is too early. You can't go giving awards for hope, the prize is for actual achievement not rhetoric.

You cant blame him for receiving the award, as I'm sure he didn't actually ask for it. I totally agree that it is too early, as he himself said when interviewed about it.

    Nobel poor decision

He hasn't done anything to deserve the Nobel Peace Prize, USA still fighting wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, hasn't negotiated a peace deal between the Jews and Palestinians.

Just be given it for his hype and verbiage not any tangible actions

He would have been advised before hand he was being awarded it, he should have declined

What has he doe with $ million dollar prize, bet he hasn't donated it to the needy or poor but pocketed it

I actually heard on the news that he will be donating the 1.4 Mil to charity. I guess actions speak louder than words.

Yeah well it's not like he needs the cash.

The Nobel awards are nothing but politics and this is just some kiss-arse who wants to make a name for themselves by promoting a US president. Follow the money, as they say.

It is 100% fantasy, especially when you consider it is the probably the most aggressive nation in international politics. But I suppose it's the kind of peace you have from the likes of the Empire storm troopers in Star Wars or Farscape Peacekeepers. Be peaceful or die.

What you actually listen to the news and are informed.

Not quite the same impact as going off half cocked though.

Which brings us back to the core issue - Obama has given speeches ('major' speeches?) calling for this or that. And nothing else.
