Someone else on here has an S111 with a 3.6 Isuzu, a nice bright yellow one.

When I joined LROCB many years ago, as part of the members pack you were given a bunch of documents from QT on modifications to Land Rovers.

For a Series I, II, IIA, and SIII SWB, you were allowed up to a 3.3L petrol or 2.8L diesel.

For Series III LWB, you were allowed up to a 4.4L Petrol or 4L diesel. They did not have a distinction for Stage 1 models.

These rules may have changed, and there are certainly Series III models getting around with 5L petrols. I recall the above limits are for standard brakes.
