if gold gets that high expect to be paying $2-3L for petty and desiel, as after deregulation everything has gone up in price very quickly but if you you compare price's of fuel to the price of gold they rise at the same rate.
this is why people are falling behind rather then getting ahead as slowly over time the amount your paid to the cost of living is droping, this is suported when comparing to the price of gold.
why is gold so important after deregulation the money which we pay for good's with other then the value we give it is worth nothing but what its printed on so little bits of plastic.
when gold price's go up it means speculators and big investors are expecting bad things to happen and want something that retains value so when you see it rise quickly you know its time to bail out of the share market.
but dont be so quick to put into banks ether because if they callopse they do not have all the money that has been deposited i think the rate they keep atm is 7-1 or 9-1 for every $1 in the bank it is loaned out 7-9 time's, this is what happened in the great depression the banks did not have the people's money and this was when money was exhangeable for gold, when there was a run on the banks (everyone wanting there money due to possible collapse) and also why the federal goverment guarnted the big banks so there was not a run on themforcing them bankrupt.
now you can get in conspercy theroies etc but thats anther story, but you will not get rid of the boom and bust as to many people make money from the boom and bust cycle.
next buble to burst could very well be the price of gold and if that happens australia is buggerd as it was the miner's that keept us out of recession this time and we have no other industry.
