    Mass posting should be able to be 'ignored'

    Hi,
    Lots of mass postings on here which I pick up by viewing 'today's posts'. These link to evilbay and are not of interest to me. I thought I could 'ignore' posts from a user, so clicked on the user name and added it to my 'ignore list'.
    Closed out of browser and re opened - damn it is still there.
    What am I doing wrong, or is this not activated?

    Open the RSS Feeds page, click on Forum Tools & then Mark This Forum Read.

    Then click on New Posts & they'll be gone.

    Hmm! they are still there, just marked as read.
    I was hoping to filter the source of the posts entirely.
    Even tried clearing cache and history and re logging in.

    Further exploration, 'ignore' list does not suppress the headings, it only stops you reading the contents.

    It works, but it needs to be done every time before you hit "New Posts". i.e. as far as I can tell it doesn't permanently mark all future messages in the folder as "read".

    Is there any way to set this?
