    CAD freeware

    Hi Guys
    Can anybody recomend a good Freeware 3D CAD to design my dingy/solar panel rack for my camper trailer????
    I had a google and there are quite a few.
    I basically know what I want to build but would like to run it thru a CAD to see if it is going to do what I want to do.

    Another vote for SketchUp. If I can use it anyone can!

    Andy,
    if you want a good package that's about as close as you can get to Autocad without paying thousands try Bricscad at:
    Bricsys - DWGCADsolutionsandProjectManagement
    It'll give you a 30 day trial of an excellent product.
    I have no connection to this product, just have used it in the past.

    My boy had Sketchup on a thumbdrive(saved me having to download it) so I had a play last nite.Wish I had it before I started my trailer.

    Dont know if you realise Ian,it does have 2d and 1d options,saw it well I was playing around.Have a look.

    Can you access 2D in plan form, I only managed isometric.

    To be honest I was quite BAMBOOZLED by the whole thing.
    My boy was giving me a few pointers,he showed me the 1 and 2 D stuff.
