What was you best eBay bargain

    Hi all

Just bought a set of clear indicators for the Disco, on eBay from the UK. Not only did the seller chuck in the side indicators and globes for free but I'm also being charged half the quoted price for freight.

So when I thought I was getting just the indicators for about Au$120 incl freight (not a bad price in itself), I am actually getting all the indicators and globes etc for about $70 !!

This got me thinking that there must be more of us on the forum who have had a bit of "luck" buying through eBay and it'd be interesting to hear what bargains have been found

    Post away...............

Sounds like you've snared a good deal there mate! Sometimes you can get an insane bargain on things. Hehehe!

Some of the more noteworthy bargains on new goodies that I've got on fleabay are:
    - Lightforce light covers for .99c (nobody else bid and TJM were asking $60)
    - Soundstream in-dash 7" touch-screen DVD/TV/CD player for $700 (local audio store was asking $1200)
    - Soundstream Tarantula amp for $400 (worth $900)
    - Seiko pilots watch for $113 (yes it's genuine, and retailed for $1200'ish in the local shops!)

Three army surplus wollen jumpers for 99c.

Nice and warm and I don't care if they get trashed in the bush.

    Hi,
E Bay in the UK has some great bargains for sale,Some sellers only offer pick up.
Do not be put off by this as you can still buy the item, pay with Pay Pal and then go on the Pack and Send UK web site and fill in the shipping request form, then the UK Pack and Send will email you and give you a price for pickup/shipping here in Australia.
Then if you are happy with the quote then Pack and Send will go and pick up you item and ship it to you.
I have had no problems with this service.
In the last month on the UK ebay i have seen 3 complete PTO DEFENDER winch units for sale, from 216 pounds up.
Try and buy these units here.

I needed some steel for a tank stand & bought 6x5m lengths of 100mm channel that was welded to 100mm angle ( funny configuration) for $80 & when I picked it they chucked in another 4 lengths of angle.
I angle grinded them apart, got my steel - saving $220 on new - & sold the remaining angle steel & channel for $320.00
    Cost 2hrs work & 2 discs @ 7.00 each
