Thumbs down Victa Lawn Mower Master Cut series...

G'day, I recently bought a master cut 2 stroke and its the first Victa I've bought in years! As I found out when I got it home and cut the grass, it lacked the scream and high revs all my other Victa utilities had years ago. I took it back to the shop I bought it from and I was told that they are now "governed". I pleaded with them to get rid of the governing "system" but they wont as it'll void warranty etc etc.
I don't care for the warranty, so how do I make this thing scream to life? Its that far governed that it'll shred the grass and not slice it. It's really annoying.

    regards,

    John

    EASY PEASY.
Did it to my last one.
The governor is dead simple. Its a vane that collects wind created in the pull start mechanism, this restricts the throttle.
All you do is bend the vane to make it more aerodynamic.
Go to the USA website for the mower to get an online download of the workshop manual to find the vane.(must be a USA law as all power/petrol tools have downloadable manuals where the aussie sites dont)
WARNING,a little at a time, you can get it to SCREAM.
Mine went 3 years, gave it to a mate as the deck wore thru BIGTIME,mojo still goes strong on his deck.He had seized his mojo due to no oil.
    ENJOY
