    army 110 fittings

Had the chance to look over an in-service army 110 yesterday,,
    nice roll cage!

there were two small (10mm x 50mm ) LED type fittings on the rear crossmember, different coloured leds,
quizzed the driver who just gave me a blank stare,,

    any ideas?

also on the rear cross member there were two large brackets with big holes sticking out(the brackets-- not the holes)

    ideas?

the driver didn't know what they were.....why doesn't that surprise me

the cats eye are for when driving under black out conditions, no light, minimal light, basically tail and brake lights. on the dash you may have notices a switch, three position........normal light, blackout and reduced

the other big things are for air transport i believe or at least tie down points.

On the drivers side there was a bracket to hold a small light (probaly LED now) that lit up the diff cover that was painted white so when playing follow the leader under blackouts you could see the one in front.
