    Defender SVX supplier gone bust

I picked up my 110 from Solitaire (Adelaide LR Dealer) after it's first service, and was chatting to the main LR salesman who told me that the Puma SVX supplier of all the add on bits had gone broke. Victim of the GFC. Not enough turn over, etc.

They are wondering how they are going to source parts for crash repairs for things like the grille, the bash plate, and so on.

    Not such good news

Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dalí i Domènech, 1st Marquis of Púbol (May 11, 1904 – January 23, 1989) was a Spanish Catalan surrealist painter born in Figueres.
Dalí (Spanish pronunciation: [daˈli]) was a skilled draftsman, best known for the striking and bizarre images in his surrealist work. His painterly skills are often attributed to the influence of Renaissance masters.[1][2] His best-known work, The Persistence of Memory, was completed in 1931. Dalí's expansive artistic repertoire includes film, sculpture, and photography, in collaboration with a range of artists in a variety of media.
Dalí attributed his "love of everything that is gilded and excessive, my passion for luxury and my love of oriental clothes"[3] to a self-styled "Arab lineage," claiming that his ancestors were descended from the Moors.
Dalí was highly imaginative, and also had an affinity for partaking in unusual and grandiose behavior, in order to draw attention to himself. This sometimes irked those who loved his art as much as it annoyed his critics, since his eccentric manner sometimes drew more public attention than his artwork

They had an SXV grille at Rovacraft. They told me it cost $2k!!!

Though I like Dali's work, I am not a fan of the SVX, but each to their own. Dobbo - I think you would need to melt the plastic bits on an SVX with a flamethrower before they would resemble Dali's paintings.

You also need to fit a td5 or county bullbar to an SVX, because the extra plastic protrudes too far to fit a standard 90/110 bullbar.

    The seats look nice though!

the counties ones will not fit, chassis is a bit different. but the change over TD5 ones with the extra mounting bracket would be good and will give them a bit of a more aggressive look, or remove some of the puffer look they have now LOL

I was given a (home made) county bullbar by DirtyDawg (nigel) on here, which I then gave to someone else on here who owns an SVX (don't think he posts often). He told me it fit fine.

    ok long story

i spotted a early TD5 110 with a ARB looking bar, but it was mounted higher and further forward than mine. cool i though had a gander and there were extra boult on bits between the chassis and Bar. even better all i need is them. RING arb, response nope didn't know any thing, rin LR

ok after a lot of buggerising about, early td5s coudint fit the normal bars so a batch of adapters were made up as an interim measure until the new bars became available.

well that is what i was told ARB the LR, maybe im wrong.

and about giving a bar away MATE LOL my water buffalo, big gray and a bloody big rock modified bar is not only worn though my BLACK plastic grill but it also looks drunk. I guess im lucky i dont have a $2000 silver one LOL
