    Steering Damper

    Hi All,

Was driving my new Defender on the motorway the other day, it was on the gateway in Brisbane on the really narrow stretch, I was finding a bit of wobble in the steering at around 110k ish, nothing bad but when you have a huge prime loader next to you and a concrete barrier on the other side it was more noticeable.

I was wondering if this was normal, and if fitting a steering damper would make it smoother?

Has anyone fitted on or have any experience with them.

    thanks
    Patrick

Hopefully you'll find it has a steering damper fitted already.

Should have a steering damper as mentioned.

The very first thing I'd be checking is tyre pressures, wear and condition. Also check the rims to see if you've lost a weight off one. That's the simplest things to look at. From there you can start on the other possibilities.
