    Land Rover Discovery Info

    Hi there,
    I'm looking at purchasing a 1996 Land Rover Discovery Turbo Diesel - not knowing much about Land Rovers, I was hoping you guys could give me some tips for things to be warry of / consider before purchasing?

    First two golden rules;

    You want detailed service history, definitely detailing work done in the past few years though there is no real excuse for not having the logbook since new.

    You want to know when the timing belt was last done, as in see a copy of the invoice.

    I recently bought a 1994 TDi. Things they are renowned for include a little rust around the alpine windows (as long as it's not too bad, it's not a major issue), rust under the rear floor mat (try to have a look if you can) and saggy roof lining.

    Good luck finding a good one. You won't look back!
